In 2006 I discovered direct response copywriting.
And I’ve been obsessed with it ever since.
I’ve spent thousands of hours learning it from the greatest copywriters who’ve ever lived…
… from the old school masters to the current day gurus.
In 2008 I started doing affiliate marketing so I could use what I’d learned.
But there was a problem.
Because to be successful at affiliate marketing, you have to know how to do lots of different things.
Things like setting up websites. Creating content. Picking good offers. Doing keyword and targeting research. Learning the ins and outs of different traffic sources. Setting up, tracking and optimising advertising campaigns.
Plus dozens of other things.
So I was spending 95% of my time doing stuff I didn’t like doing. And wasn’t very good at.
And it made me miserable.
So after a decade of doing affiliate marketing I decided to quit being a jack of all trades…
… and focus on being a master of one: copywriting. Specifically email copywriting.
