Logos, banners, adverts & business cards
This is a selection of odds and sods I’ve designed over the past few years.
Some of the curves look a little pixellated and ropey due to antialiasing, resizing and low resolution.
Cyanoni logo
This is my company logo on the left and its previous incarnation on the right. It was inspired by the Bauhaus style of design.
This is where the name for my company comes from: Cyan (dark blue) and Oni (a Japanese demon, devil or mountain spirit).
The Illustrated Man banner
This is used to attract people to The Illustrated Man Web site. It uses an original Steve ‘A’ drawing.
Scorpion Blast logo
This logo was designed in 2006 for a range of blast cabinets manufactured by Blast & Peen.
The peening process involves firing steel shot at a surface, so the scorpion is made of circles and its shape suggests the flight path of the shot.
The Blastroom logo
This logo was designed in 2006 for The Blastroom Web site.
The abrasives used in their service are recycled, so the logo aims to capture this. It was inspired by the Escher-style geometric repeating tile patterns.
Blasting Accessories Polaroid
This is a Polaroid-style photograph mock-up used to display abrasives on the Blasting Accessories Web site.
Blast & Peen logo
This is the Blast & Peen logo that’s used on the Web site and stationery.
Blast & Peen business cards
Business cards designed for Blast & Peen.
The Infirmary advert
This advert appeared in Bizarre magazine around 2003 or 2004.
