Alan Charlton Gallery
This site is the online art gallery of Hampshire artist Alan Charlton. The site currently features thirteen galleries of oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings, and ink drawings.
Uses semantic XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS and satisfies most WCAG priority 1, 2 & 3 checkpoints for accessibility.
Using CSS makes it possible for the picture frames to be loaded as background images. This means they have only to be downloaded once, making the pages quicker to load.
